Industrial coatings applicator. My job role mainly involves a lot of prep work and cleaning down metal frames and plates to be painted.
Since the Dolphin (mock up) has been closed there has been less work for us to do so there is less structure. Although we have a specific tick list that we have to work through in order to complete our apprenticeship.
Support is always offered however I have not needed assess to it so far. But I would know where to find it if I was ever to need it.
Yes
A very rewarding and secure job. Good support and a nice place to work along side a good salary and pension as well as a shares scheme.
Go through the women in engineering scheme as it gives you the opportunity to try different trades to see which you enjoy the most. It also highers your chances of success.
