I am a trainee accountant who is part of the Corporate Audit and Advisory team. Part of my role is to visit clients and perform different audit tests to make sure transactions have been accounted for correctly
I have learnt a bunch of new skills, especially digital skills that I didn't know about before
It is a very difficult role and there is lots of work that needs doing outside of working hours, but I do enjoy it and feel lucky to have the job
I think it is structured really well. Learning modules are split out across the year and there is also a good balance of client work
My employer is very supportive and understanding if personal matters interfere with work duties. They appear to be well informed when I need any assistance
First Intuition provide lots of support. My skills coach is always well informed and can answer any of my queries. Loads of resources are readily available from the website to assist with any worries.
I have definitely started to understand more about what I am working on due to the knowledge being built at study.
Work offer many extra-curricular activities from running clubs to crochet clubs , as well as offering networking events. They also organise inter-department socials as well as firm wide socials
Yes
They are supportive and provide a safe working environment
I would say its important to understand the level of work this is required and you need to find a balance between work life and personal life so that you have time to relax.
