On a day to day, I review drawings ensuring all services are coordinated and if they are not, I arrange for this to be rectified by communicating with the client and other contractors. I ensure all teams are working to programme and budget and tracking this via regular progress review meetings.
In construction you encounter many different people and personalities, this has taught me how to handle these different personalities. I have also learnt how to proper manage my time and prioritise works.
I very much so enjoy the programme, i hold regular revies highlighting my growth. I receive a lot of feedback, support, mentorship and training. The business display a family moral which makes me feel as part of the company.
It is very well organised and communicated, in my opinion it is the best when I talk to friends in other companies. We have a clear schedule for college and also, we are sent to other departments in the business to learn how the whole operation works.
I receive a tremendous amount of support, both on the job but also personally as well which I think is a big relief knowing I have support for my personal life as well. Both on the job everyone makes them self available for any issues i have on the job.
Time and time again we are given enough time and support to work on any work we have for college. We also have reviews about our progress and anything we need to work on. There is a constant bridge of communication
It certainly helps you understand the fundamentals about my job role; however, I personally will always benefit more when I am on the job learning .
We have regular work networking events which really helps bring the business together especially after majority of us are working on site and don't see each other in the main office.
Yes
It is a business with a string foundation of training and good morals. I would recommend it to a friend as it's a great chance of growing a career out of this apprenticeship.
Just be yourself, show you are willing to grow and learn with humility, and take every opportunity you get. don't get disheartened when you make a mistake as everyone does and it is how you learn.
