  • Management accounting including budgeting and forecasting, monitoring and reporting of income and expenditure. Communicate financial information or concepts to stakeholders at all levels of financial competence, both verbally and through written reports. Providing appropriate levels of financial authorisation for transactions maintained online and offline.

  • Apprenticeships help develop proficiency in analyzing data, conducting research, and providing insights to support decision-making using financial software and IT applications e.g. excel. It also improves both written and verbal communication skills, learning to effectively communicate financial information to various audiences.

  • I enjoy the opportunity to learn new things, meet new people and explore new interests. I like the variety of workload and the challenges that brings.

  • The apprenticeship is very structured and revolves around an exam timetable and financial deadlines.

  • The employer is very supportive in promoting professional development and creating opportunities for learning.

  • I attend college on a weekly basis and I have access to college Teams channel which has all the class material and can be used to post questions when I'm not attending college.

  • It gives you a base knowledge which you can then develop in the workplace.

  • There are multiple networking events and other activities that are available on a departmental level and wider organisation.
