I'm a Commercial Operations Apprentice, I specialise in Accreditations so I'm currently building out a tracker to consolidate information for all of Softcat's Vendors- tier status, accreditations, specialisations, certifications, contracts etc.
I've definitely learnt a lot, one of the most useful skills I've learnt is how to better use Excel which is especially useful in my role. Aspects like, how to alter table settings and how to simplify sums which saves a lot of valuable time overall.
It's useful and informative- some aspects are enjoyable.
I like the way its structured as you can take things at your own pace whilst, still being kept on track and in line with the program with group calls every other week.
I have a day dedicated to my apprenticeship work and my manager is super supportive of keeping this time for my apprenticeship time only.
I can email my course leader anytime I feel I need more support or have a question.
Yes
The culture and environment is so supportive and positive which is overall the most important thing.
I would say just be yourself as they want you to be as authentic as possible as well as helping to make sure you're assigned to the best suited role possible.
