Working within the Retail Management department I am required to support the surveyors and surveying executives in all aspects of management regarding shopping centers. I assist in tasks such as managing arrears and coding invoices to configuring reports and attending meetings.
Since I started the program my communication skills have improved drastically. Not that they were bad before, however being in such a big company, working with different departments and clients really helps you to understand how important communication is.
I am thoroughly enjoying my program, I feel like I am learning a lot and making progress everyday. I pick up new skills from colleagues on a regular basis and if I ever need help they are more than happy to assist.
JLL values its staff highly and invests heavily in staff development. Whenever there is a success within the company, the people involved are recognized. There is always some sort of training for me to complete and if I want further training it is always available.
The program is very well structured and I believe that it will get even better. I have had a few conversations with my manager and the lead person for the program and they are always looking for ways to improve the program for the benefit of the current and future apprentices.
I receive a good amount of support. Whenever I need guidance I receive, but at the same time she never spoon feeds information as she believes in my ability.
My manager is fully supportive of all that I do, whether it is to do with work, the program or personal situations. He has made it clear that there is no such thing as a stupid question.
My salary/package surpassed my expectations. In comparison to other apprentices I get paid very well and I also receive a travel allowance. Furthermore I received a business attire bonus when I first started.
There are plenty of opportunities, whether you want to get involved in sports or join a network/society, all the information is easy to find on the internal intranet system.
Yes
JLL is a great company to work for. The company has a fantastic reputation in the industry and the people that make up the company are fully supportive and great to work with.
Be totally honest with any satiation you may be in as you would be surprised how supportive the company is. If you are interested in property and want to get your foot in the door then this is the right thing for you.
