learning joinery based skills in an active workshop/ tiling on the sub
ive learnt lots of new skills and developed my old ones
im currently enjoying this placement as it is to do with woodworking
its not very organised when you ask a question it takes month for the skills coaches to get back to you because of poor communication in the training school, we do not have a workshop in the training school with machines or even power tools at the moment. its all hand tools until they can set the workshop up
as much as possible but i don't tend to need any
well we get half answers and the providers don't know exactly what we are working towards or the full extent of what wee need to do for it
depending on the role i get given at the end of my apprenticeship it may mean the woodworking skills are not necessary
there are plenty but i do not do them as i have a family and responsibilities outside of work
Yes
i would recommend them to anyone as the pay and shifts are worth it but not if they were to try out for joinery i would suggest they get one else were first then try come in fully qualified
do whats logical at the end of the day
