  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • This programme is incredible with myriad extra-curricular opportunities offered regularly, including travel, further education, and other activities such as discounted airshow tickets.

    10/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Certainly can be better, but appears to have made significant improvements over the last 18 months or so, backlogs of work cleared, new personnel brought in to fill / create new roles.

    10/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • No limits to the amount of support available, within work placements or the business in general.

    9/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Reasonable amount, it varies by module but generally the tutors are more than willing to review work and provide formative feedback, or answer any questions about module-specific (or otherwise) content

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The first two years were spent on a foundation degree (no longer the case for new apprentices), which didn't really teach much, if anything to someone coming into this role. The final year of the degree had a few useful modules, and the dissertation taught a lot of project management skills.

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not as much as I personally would like, however we are a small site so lots of these things aren't easily doable. There are lots of extra curricular social activities that happen as people form close bonds in friendship groups.

    9/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Incredible experience with some incredible work to be completed.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Apply early, and apply yourself as it can be challenging to those who expect to breeze through it.
