Working in Terminal 5 at Heathrow completing roles such as checking customers in , boarding flights and helping customers with their questions
I’ve learnt customer service skills and continued to build confidence in the workplace
I enjoy the working side of the programme as it allows you to meet and work with lots of people aswell as learn new skills however the management is a little bit all over the place as sometimes cannot find someone to help when you need it / they won’t answer . The learning provider part of the apprenticeship is great and useful information given however have had many days doing it independently rather than being taught . The team at BA who look over the apprenticeship, at times have been very unorganised which caused unnecessary stress or confusion with them changing things around last minute so made it slightly unenjoyable
There is a big lack of organisation within the apprenticeship with a lot of unknown to us , things often get told last minute, changed after telling us they wouldn’t or just hardly communicated at all which affects the structure . They have gotten better throughout the apprenticeship but still some confusion sometimes.
I haven’t required any support yet so am not entirely sure the level of support but I believe I could receive a bit of support if required, however it does feel like they are out to get you rather than support you a lot of the time as they will look out and pick up on bad thins to try catch us out .
My trainer provider is very supportive and will help us in any questions that we need to, she supports the range of working styles and speeds within our group which allows us to work at our own speed without feeling left behind .
I don’t believe it helps me too much in my role as majority of it is regulations that don’t come into my role day to day however are good to know .
If I wished to there is many groups that I could join , including beliefs, sports and other activities
Yes
Because it’s a flexible working environment
