I am currently a Customer Relations Executive which is essentially a complaint handler. I deal with customer complaints and queries and work to give them the best possible outcome. I have 1 study day per week to focus solely on my apprenticeship work, then work 4 days a week.
Yes - I have learnt a lot of networking skills, communication, team- work, problem- solving, and professional language. I have hugely grown in confidence whilst working at Siemens Financial Services due to the kind and inclusive culture, so I have been able to leave my comfort zone much more.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme due to the diversity within my working week. Where I have 1 study day per week to focus on my studies, I then work 4 days (2 days in the office). There are always amazing activities/ opportunities to partake in which I have been able to join in to.
It is very well structured, and organised. Where they are different levels of leadership, the senior colleagues always interact and communicate with us as apprentices which I found really great. This has given me opportunities to speak to people very high up in the company which has heavily inspired me.
I receive a lot of support. Though I work 4 days a week, my employer is always supportive of me taking extra time to focus on my studies if necessary, and they often help me if I am in need of help with a task, project etc.
I have an online call with my training provider every 2 weeks in which we will discuss my work, set new work etc. But she is always open to helping me between these catch- ups if I needed.
I have learn a lot of new things within my apprenticeship which have influenced my performance at work. I have learnt about a lot of new laws, legislations, policies and more which I ensure to apply and abide by when working, especially when I am customer facing!
There are hundreds of activities to get involved with at Siemens! These are a great way to network with new people around the business and grow your confidence. For example, I have been a Siemens Ambassador, joined 'Wednesday Wellness Walks' around our local town, celebrations for national days in the year, charitable events and much more! This is definitely one thing that I truly love about Siemens.
Yes
The culture of the business is just phenomenal. Everyone who works there is so kind and respectful and I always feel supported by those around me. The amount of extra- curricular opportunities we offer, as this is an amazing way to get to know others and broaden your skillset. The salary is much higher than other apprenticeships which is always a perk! Flexible working days - I only work 2 days in the office a week, the rest is at home! Great annual leave rate.
Just be yourself as there is absolutely no judgement by anyone who works there, we all support each other massively.
