My role is to draft the final accounts for different businesses for their financial year. This involves problem solving, communication, teamwork, and the ability to have a strong, intuitive and resilient mindset.
I have developed the ability to work with others - taking guidance as well as occasionally giving it. I have also gained an ability to look closer into things and pay attention to detail.
I enjoy my apprenticeship at PM+M as the workplace is very close to home as well as the people being amazing and helping whenever and wherever they can - and the training provider (First Intuition) gives high quality tutors and lessons in order to stimulate and improve your professional growth
The programme is well structured as it is organised with your development and morale being highly considered - for example making sure the work I am given is within my current ability or slightly above it to challenge me to increase my abilitites.
I receive as much help as I can ask for from my employer - if I ever have questions I need answered or help I need with training/ work, help and answers are provided as well as they can be.
I receive great help from my training regarding my qualifications, whether it be extra tutoring after lessons, questions in lessons, etc. The tutors are always ready to give extra support to the students if and when needed.
My qualifications help me perform better as unlike in school, college, etc. - I am constantly practicing what I learn from the training provider when I work, helping me to understand the craft I put into practice.
There are many opportunities for social events with work however I have limited comments to make as I'm not a fan of social events in general.
Yes
I would recommend to a friend as they provide an amazing learning and working experience: the people are great, the facilities are good and the environment is very warm and welcoming.
To someone going through the application process - my tips would be to relax - nobody is going to be out to get you if you get something wrong and listen to people - the best way to develop is enlisting the help of other people, they are there to help you.
