Currently, I study at ICAT in Barry, carrying out block learning in preparation for moving to on the job training. The block learning is a mixture of classroom work with occasional practical work in the ICAT hangar.
I have learnt a large amount of new skills and improved on existing skills, practical work in the ICAT hangar helped to improve existing hand and tool skills.
I have really enjoyed the time I have already spent on this programme, this is because I have been given the chance to learn lots of new things, meet lots of new people and be involved in some fantastic opportunities.
The programme is well structured, we are kept relatively up to do date of whats happening and when.
Our employer supports us very well, there are many support networks in place incase they are needed. We are also made very aware of how to access said support networks.
I receive the necessary support required for me to work towards my qualifications.
I believe that the qualifications I am receiving help to better my knowledge and understanding of the role which I am required to do. This therefore increases my performance in the role.
We are given plenty of opportunities to expand our networks and increase team morale.

I would recommend this apprenticeship very highly due to the incredible opportunities I have been given. This apprenticeship is also a fantastic start to a brilliant career path with endless opportunities.
Make sure to work hard but also take advantage of the fun opportunities that are given to you.
