Carrying out electrical maintenance on the Easington terminal and the 47/3B Rough platform based in the North Sea. This involves both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure plant is operating safely and effectively.
From the start of my apprenticeship I have developed massively. Not only in my work, whether that be practical skills or electrical theory, but also my personal skills.
I find a lot of enjoyment from my apprenticeship programme. This is due to the great people I work and learn from but I also find lots of satisfaction from the work itself.
Centrica Energy Storage + have been very good with regards to my development. They provide all relevant training for my development and want me to do the best that I can.
They are very accommodating, offering support when needed. The company have been very good in this respect, giving me the appropriate time to carry out what is required for my qualification.
My training provider offered me an introductory first year into industry, giving me a base of practical and theoretical skills relevant to help me when I am on site.
Often there are events that go on. Whether that be social events or things such as charity football games. We even do lots of challenges for charity, which is good fun and for a good cause.
Yes
If you want a quality apprenticeship, I cannot recommend Centrica Energy Storage + more based on what they have done for me in my development.
Be confident ask plenty of questions. You are not expected to know everything. Have a good focus on safety and the rest will come with time. Certain skills can be developed, but your attitude cannot!
