  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a buying administrator which means I am the admin for a buyer/ multiple buyers. I prepare and submit deals, action amendments, manage samples from buyers, communicating with vendors and building relationships etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to deal with and speak to vendors on a day to day basis and also in more difficult situations where we have to be more sensitive. I have also exceeded my skills in excel, as when i first started i could barely use it.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I'm coming to the end of my programme now and i have thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone who was thinking about applying.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the beginning, my programme wasn't very structured as we had a lot of change with dates for our FRA sessions which got a bit confusing. But, for office based structure my programme was super well organized and i was learning something new pretty much everyday.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, whether that's with the day to day job role, interests into what i want to do once i have finished my programme etc.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received a lot of support from the FRA, I have now finished there but I always felt like i could reach out if i needed to for any support

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Through FRA I learnt a lot about buying and merchandising which overall has helped me in my day to day job role,

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are loads, i haven't personally got involved, but there are many teams like football and netball

  • Yes

  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship and would recommend to anyone else who is interested.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TJX Europe?
  • I would say be yourself, they love different personailites at TJX so i would deffintely say dont shy away from being yourself.
