  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Supporting with the admin tasks for the team and onboarding for all new starters

    9/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have developed a lot of confidence. The role that I am doing is completely new to me so I've also learnt a lot of office skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The apprenticeship programme feels a little low level for what I am doing at work - it doesn't necessarily always link to what I am doing at work but other than that, it is quite insightful. I think the Level 5 equivalent will be more insightful.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, we are given a timetable in the beginning of the programme which is stuck to and deadlines are always clearly provided. I have routine check ins with my learning coach from the training provider who supports me when necessary and keeps me on track.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My team are very supportive. I have monthly reviews with my apprenticeship manager and weekly catch-ups with my line manager. They regularly check in if I need any support and are happy to help assist with my apprenticeship work when necessary as well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is an expectation for you to manage your own work but the support is always there when necessary. I think they strike a good balance between being supportive and allowing you to get on with it.

    10/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Not always the case - definitely feel as though some modules have supported me to perform better in the role but I haven't learnt much about employee relations and how to deal with certain cases.

    4/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, they offer quarterly socials for all apprentices and grads, along with team socials and company-wide socials. Professional networking events happen occasionally as well.

    9/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Berkeley Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • If you are coming via an early careers route, you will definitely be supported by your team and surroundings. There is a big focus on employee experience more recently as well. If you perform well and put the effort in, you will see the impact straight away.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Berkeley Group?
  • Be yourself. Go the extra mile to do things for people, especially in the first few months. If you don't ask, you will not get.
