my role currently is a access field technician for virgin media, on a day to day basis i find and fix customers tv, broadband and phone line faults.
i have learnt many new skills and developed some exsisting skills through my apprentership
i enjoyed the apprentership scheme very much, it was a steep learning curve but it was achieviable with the support of my managers and collegues.
i feel valued by virgin media on a day to day basis, i am given praise and feedback from customers and staff very regularly.
100% in my personal opinion, if i needed anything all i had to do is make 1 simple phone call to anyone of my managers or collegues and any problem i had would be resolved in no time at all.
again 100% support, there was not one case where i can say that i was not supported throughout the 12 month scheme.
again 100% support, my managers are always at the other end of the phone and email, so when i scream help, they respond instantly.
lets be perfectly honest, i would love more money, but the salary i recieved for an apprentice was very fair and is one of the highest paid salarys in the country for being an apprentice. i do not have any travel cost as this is covered by the company.
there are always oppertunities to do many different things outside of work within virgin media, being given the oppertunity to take part in charity events, being able to volunteer for the commonwelth games, being selected to help work a V festival. these are just a few, the list goes on!
Yes
great people, great company, great career prospects
if you give it your best shot you will be rewarded with all of what virgin media has to offer, the company puts in as much effort as you put in!
