As a Test Analyst within the Testing Services team, I write test scripts which will be used for testing. I base these on the business requirements and the scope of the project. I will attend meetings to discuss things such as a change request to ensure that all of the scripts are up to date with the correct project information. When testing the software I will raise defects which will be sent back to the developer to fix, these will then be re-tested.
I have learnt many new skills, such as I can now use a test tool. I understand the systems use by The Co-operative and I am able to confidentally create documents for business use. I hae also developed my existing writing and excel skills.
I enjoy the programme thorougly, it has taught me many things. I have learnt things which I wouldnt have learnt it I was working in a different environment or company.
I feel very valued by The C-operative group. I have been given many opportunities which have allowed me to grow and gain knowledge. I have been given different projects which all deal with different things so that I can have more experience of different things.
The programme is very well structered and organised. We are given set dates to complete things by, these are targets and they can be moved or changed depending on how we are progressing.
I recieve a lot of support from the training provider, they help in understanding my role and then relating it back to the units and competencies which I must complete.
I recieve a lot of support from my employer, they guide me through things that I may not be confident with or sure of. They are always there to answer my questions whenever I need them.
My salary more than meets my cost, especially for an apprenticeship. I have found that it is one of the highest paying apprenticeships which is mirrored in how good it is.
Yes there are many opportunities out of work, there are also childrens clubs which allow you to volunteer and teach people who are younger than you all about apprentiscehips and what they entail.
Yes
I would recommend The C-operative group to a friend as I have learnt so much here. I have enjoyed the experience and everything I have been taught.
Advice that I would give someone who was applying to The Co-operative group, is to work hard if you get the job and take every opportunity you can to learn and grow as they are a great company.
