My Job Title is a Junior Secretary. I float around the firm working with all different departments doing a range of admin tasks. I work alongside other secretaries imitating their job and helping them out.
Whilst doing this apprenticeship I will gain an NVQ qualification. I have also developed my communication skills as I communicate a lot with different type of people. I have had many internal training courses for example Invoicing, My Documents, Inspection Tool etc. Once every fortnight I go to my NVQ training session.
I enjoy my it thoroughly and I really get on well with all the teams. The work I do daily is enjoyable as well because I get to do a range of tasks and meet new people. The company is great and they provide lots of help and training for you to progress. It went beyond my expectations.
I feel extremely valued by JLL. I am treated fairly and equally to others and I am well respected. People make the effort to help me and speak to me which I really appreciate.
The programme is very well structured as our exams and training sessions are set out in advance and we know about this. We get a lot of support from our trainer and also our line managers. I get plenty of studying time and my line manager always makes sure I get extra studying time if need be.
My training provider supports us all a lot. If I ever need help or advice I am able to speak to her or email and ask for help.
I receive a lot of support from my employer as she always tries to progress me as much as she can. I am always given new opportunities and support where necessary. If I ever have any problems I am able to speak to my employer and overcome the issue.
My salary is a perfect cost as I still live at home so I am able to save my money for when I move out. JLL cover my travel cost so that is no issue to me. I feel I am now able to do much more socially as I am able to afford it.
I have been given so many opportunities externally. CBRE hosted an apprenticeship network event for all the apprentices to attend and meet each other. I have also been to the regional offices to carry out training sessions - I worked along side a trainer assisting. I also joined the JLL netball team which is excellent for keeping up with hobbies as well as socializing with the team.
Yes
I would definitely recommend JLL to a friend and I already have. I would do this because it is so beneficial to a young individual that wants to work whilst learning. JLL apprenticeship scheme allows you to work being paid as well as gain a qualification. Everyone at JLL is overly friendly and really make sure you feel settled and comfortable. Help is offered to you at every corner and if you ever feel you need extra support you can speak with your employer. JLL also offer so many opportunities and guidance to working your way up in the firm.
When applying to JLL, in the interview process I would advise to be completely natural and yourself. Obviously make a very good impression and don't be lazy but be honest and relax. When it comes up to your assessment days I would advise to balance your work and revision so your not stressing out. Make sure you have revised enough and are more than ready.
