My role is a support role for a cloud project. My day to day role involves supporting and implementing different systems for the project.
I have gained knowledge from supporting techniques, technical knowledge in different vendor software from Microsoft, VMware, Symantec etc.
I have really enjoyed my experience at Capgemini in regards to the day to day role that I am performing. I have felt the program structured around the apprenticeship was not adequate for the role we are performing. I felt that the learning program was structured around other job roles and was not designed to help me in the role I’m performing.
I feel that I’m needed critically in the business to perform the role I am performing in the team.
Not at all well. The structure of the programme was intended for other roles inside of an infrastructure analyst role. No consideration in my opinion was taken for my role.
The training provider in the first instance did not provide the adequate support required. When the assessor was suspended in the last few months of our apprenticeship I felt that only then we were given the required support.
The employer was excellent in regards to supporting us when completing our apprenticeship. We were given the time required to complete the apprenticeship.
Not very well at all. Again, compared to other apprentices in Capgemini I feel that our area has not built the structure to allow us to progress our career.
There are plenty of opportunities outside of work to attend courses and generally expand knowledge and help.
Yes
Overall the job side of the apprenticeship has been brilliant but I feel I have been let down on the training side and the support required from the training provider.
