On a day to day basis I visit clients in order to help carry out audit testing as part of a small team to help provide evidence over the assurance given on the financial statements created.
As part of my job role I have been able to develop my soft skills such as working in a team, organisation and my confidence.
I enjoy the programme as I get to travel to different places and have a different challenge each week. I also enjoy working as part of a team.
I feel valued at Mazars, as I am given praise for the work I have done and progress I have made where deemed appropriate and I feel that I am a valued member of the audit team.
Although there were delays/ problems at the start of my training programme, I think that now my programme is well structured as I am given sufficient study materials to pass my exams and I have a clear point of contact in both the office and with my training provided if I need any support. I also have a clear idea of what I will achieve at the end of the training programme.
I feel that I receive a good level of support from my training provider as there are many different types of materials to help me with my exams and opportunities to develop my soft skills.
I feel that I receive feedback on the progress that I have made so far but feel that I would like a bit more feedback on how to make sure I keep improving and more specific points on what I could do better.
I think that for my age my salary meets the costs of my living as I still live at home.
I feel that there are some opportunities available outside of work as Mazars has events to raise money for charity. However I think it would be a good idea if there were more events for just school leavers within Mazars to meet one another as I have only meet them a couple of times at skills.
Yes
I feel that Mazars is a friendly place to work and I feel like a valued member of the team. I have to opportunity to both work and gain practical experience and gain a professional qualification at the same time.
I feel that in the application process you should have a clear idea of why you want to work in the financial services an make sure you portray this enthusiasm in the interview. You should also make sure that you can demonstrate that you will be able to work well as part of a team as a lot of the work I do involves working well with others as part of a team.
