My job role is Apprentice Field Technician. My daily activities are working with my mentor out in the field whilst attending study days on a thursday.
I have learnt new health and safety skills and begun learning how to install and repair cable TV, broadband and phone services.
I enjoy working as part of the virgin team and learning new skills everyday. The training and study process is execellent. The virgin media culture is brilliant adn great to be part of.
I feel very valued by virgin media. They look after their employees and are always willing to help out when you are in need.
The programme is very well structured. The study days are well organised and the courses are easy to understand and work through. The training weeks are very informative and the trains make them fun whilst also giving all the information you need.
You recieve a lot of support from the training providers if you need it. There are help links and information if you need to access it.
The manager are always willing to help and are always around if you have any questions
The salary is very good for the apprenticship. You are able to meet normal living standards and travel costs within the salary you are paid.
There are lots of opportunites outside of work and virgin media are proud of promoting these for the apprentices.
