Test Analyst - carry out variety of testing tasks reviewing code and recording issues the system(s) have escalating it further for a fix. script and test writing/ execution also write java/ JSON code in order for regression packs to be at disposal of other team members
YES - learned so much being at CAP by far the most superior spprenticeship programme there is out there
I enjoyed the programme but going fully employed i expected more and dont feel as though i get chance to use all of my gained skills and feel no sense of reward either as other places post apprenticeship offer superior pay and benefits
As feeling valued i feel valued by my new team. However the previous team/ group seem to favourite team members over others and many employees feel left out from the main group and this also shows during the reviewing process where their voice isnt heard, only the favoured seem to prosper, the quiet who do their jobs and what is expected feel looked over and the opportunities that others had just didnt seem to come
Structured well, step on to HA programme after completing AA programme very effective. although communication sometimes between QA and us can be slow and minimal
Recieve support when i need it, very happy
Because of 'timecodes' sometimes feel pressured into not using training codes available to me, sometimes the company dont seem understanding that i have modules to do and if the code is there then it will be used when necessary
Unfortunately not well. Other places post apprenticeship pay far far more average system test analyst elsewhere 20k+ here is far lower awhich is sad as i do enjoy my job. pay rises are scarce and promotions are very hard to get. other places offer more in relation to pay and as i have to travel far distances to get to work and pay to live in a house i barely have any money left for myself to enjoy, i know im not the only one but other places unfortunately do pay far much more. but as an apprentice the pay is excellent. its just when go full time that you realise how much of a difference there is compared to other places.
Yes, other places do offer more in terms of jobs and pay etc. however in relation to the apprenticeship CAP do offer the most superior by miles
Yes
Capgemini has taught me so much and allowed me to gain qualifications in which i am so so grateful for. i would definately and have reccomended to friends who are suitable for the role however i think that people need to feel more valued upon completing their apprenticeships and deserve to have better and more fair pay which doesnt meet the countries overall average
Be open minded to other roles and be prepared to put the extra time in, go with the flow, get your work done and youll pass with flying colours
