The programme is a great experience as every day is different and you dont know what to expect next. The programme is also very different for us as the company take you on modules where you meet up with other people on your programme and develop each others skills and learn from other peoples experiences.
I feel valued by Laing O'rourke as they take a lot of time to train myself to take on my job role. They are also very considerate with me as i have just left school and adapting to working life.
The programme is very well organinsed and has a very specific structure. The modules and training events are planned in advance to ensure that you can attend them and work your own commitments around these.
The amount of support that is on offer is more than enough. Everyone is willing to take their time to explain anything i dont understand and are very understanding to the fact i have no experince or knowledge in the construction industry.
The company overall ensure that the support is there for you at all times and that you are not struggling with the balance of university and working life. They have may different ways to try and make the programme as easy as possible for you.
