I am an associate within the Audit department in the London Office, I complete audits for various businesses as well as study toward my AAT qualification before moving onto either ACA or ACCA.
I have learnt many new skills, having just completed AAT level 3 and becoming proficient in audit software and my technical knowledge is developing.
I enjoy working for Grant Thornton, the culture and people are amazing and support me in both my work and study.
I fell valued as I a, recognised when I perform well and generally as a people oriented firm most employees would agree.
The programme is clearly structured and has been established for 5/6 years now so there are few issues encountered.
I train with KAPLAN financial and the tutors are superlative, I receive aid that is accommodating to my learning style, as well as excellent teaching when in class.
I feel that although it is an established programme it is still quite small and so not everybody is aware of the AAT/school leaver route therefore the support is limited to those who are informed.
I can live adequately in Kent, however I could not consider moving to London until I receive a pay increase as my salary would not cover it.
Grant Thornton are a very social firm and there are always events and clubs to partake in, creating a nice work/life balance.
Yes
As a people firm the culture is very fitted to my personality and working habits.
