I am an Apprentice Client Service Advisor. My day-to-day tasks mainly involve input on one of our various systems or preparing/editing client documents for the team. These documents include renewal reports, working document and summary documents.
I have developed my knowledge and understanding of Insurance and the insurance market as a whole. Whilst also developing my computer and IT skills. The most valuble skills I have learnt are orginisational ones. I now Prepair much better for tasks and test than I would have before.
I enjoy the way the programme is structured and that it is set up so that you remain in contact with other apprentices around the country. This has been by far the most enjoyable part of the apprenticeship.
The company I find have a huge enthusiasm for the apprentices. The scheme has been a huge success and many at Aon are very proud of this.
The actual work in the office is not as well structured as the exam and tuition part. There could be a better structure of what work apprentices are to work on at first and what they are to work on in the future.
Skills Solutions are excellent for providing help and assistance. They are prepared to give as much help as possible to those trying hard enough.
Help is provided when necassry to completing a task. However there is no overall structure for help to be provided in the workplace. It is more expected that there will always be someone there and whiling to help.
I travel from Glasgow (Drive & Train) to get to work so this is difficult to accomodate but besides travel the package is fair.
This question needs to be more specific. Other companys? Outside of the office events? This could mean anything
Yes
Aon is a massive worldwide company which puts alot into the development of its staff. I would recommand Aon to a friend.
Aon expect a very high standard of work and effort from all employees so be prepared to work hard if you are applying.
