My day to day basis are turning on the lights on in the CAD office, make coffee for the day [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] I ring tenders who are wanting prices given to them by Carrie
I am gaining new skills everyday such as answering phone calls from costumers everyday, Understanding how the K8 and CAD course all works
I enjoy working as a team when I am out on measures [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] on Pricing up kitchens/utility
I get involved with task daily helping them out on till and in the CAD office. My Manager [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] questions me on how well the week has gone. While I am away, I give him a message on how the K8/CAD has gone
The program is well structured and organized in the company as the staff follow the guidelines by law, I study during lunch hour so when I come to the system I roughly know what I am doing.
My training tutor comes in every month to see how I am getting on during the apprenticeship but recently I have been on Training courses to get where I am
I get support from my manager everyday as and when such as when I am pricing the kitchen.
Very well as I pay my mum lodge (including food, electricity), I pay money for my monthly contract. Everyday I bike to work as I don't have a car (doing lessons at the moment)
With the iniative money we go on a meal with another area howdens team - Brigg. Some Saturdays I do my volunteering at Scunthorpe Rabbit Rescue in my own time, when I'm not working I enjoy having some time with the family and the dog (Shitz Tzu).
Yes
Working for Howdens Joinery, its great experience where you gain Understanding and some knowledge of how everything K8 and CAD works in a different sector as I wanted to work with animals but I didn't get anywhere (I didn't give up) so I applied for the Kitchen sales Designer
Go for it - Apply online, have 2 tasks at the interview (putting worktops with door frontals price range), go on Training courses to Northampton. go out for a meal with work mates.
