I attended the PwC Business Insight Week Programme, where I was given the opportunity to work shaddow for 3 days and take part in the assessment for the Higher Apprenticeship programme. I was buddied up with different people from various sectors of the organisation; for example tax and transaction services. On the different days we were given assignments to complete, which were very similar to the daily tasks people in the company would carry out on a regular basis. Each day was different as we completed different tasks, and interacted with many different people, in order to give us the true experience of working in a professional environment.
My communication skills have deffinietly increased as I have gotten used to working as a team and meeting with new people. My computing and maths skills have deffinitely improved due to the training PwC has offered. I have also developed my people skills even further as I was constantly interacting with others.
I enjoyed the programme as it gave me a good insight into working in a professional environment. The people at PwC are all very welcoming and have helped me to enjoy the programme as much as possible.
Even though I have only worked for PwC for one week, I feel like a valued employee. From day one I was treated with respect by all memmbers of staff, and have developed contacts with employees.
Very well organised.
All the buddies I had been paired up with helped alot with the various tasks. Also, the initial induction training was excellent as it helped me to settle into PwC.
PwC have gave me alot of support in both sectors, Tax and TS.
Very well
PwC are very focused at shaping their employees as a whole, and developing them as a person. Socially- they have many events which help to encourage team spirit, and when we were on lunch, all the employees were very welcoming.
Yes
The ethos in the office is great. Something that makes PwC stand out to me from other organisations is the employees, as they never fail to encourage and support me. Also the opportunity to work in a professional environment and gain insight into the Higher Apprenticeship programme is great.
Perhaps the opportunity to practice a "mock interview" with the PwC employees, in order to practice for future interviews.
