This was a 5 day work experience - the first day was an induction day, which allowed everyone to meet each other and settle in. The following 3 days, I work shadowing employees working in Tax and Deals. The final day was an assessment centre.
I have learnt new skills on Excel, along with improving my communication skills. I was taught about Capital Allowances, regarding Corporation Tax.
I thoroughly enjoy my week at PwC. Everyone I met was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome from the start. The work give us an insight into what their employees do on a day-to-day basis.
I felt valued, and everyone seemed happy to help with any questions. Every employee seemed to be appreciated and PwC seem to genuinely take an interest in each employee, providing them with sufficient training and promotion opportunities
I thought this week was very well organised. The induction day was excellent in allowing us to settle in and get a better idea of what PwC do. Each department we visited had planned tasks, which meant we were kept busy at all times!
The Student Recruitment team kept us up-to-date with emails with how the week would pan out. Any questions were answered promptly, and they made sure we had no issues.

We were paid £270 for the week, which was great! Work experience and getting paid!
They have a social committee, which includes 5-a-side, the first friday of each month is casual dress. There are social events throughout the year.
Yes
I felt it was a really friendly work place, and that the balance between fun and work was good. Everyone seemed happy to help each other, and no question was a silly one!
I would encourage people to make use of the e-learns and tips that PwC provide online. Think about times where you have displayed leadership etc before an interview. Keep up to date with business affairs. Ask questions!
