I was on the Business Insight Week and my role was to work shadow my buddy in a particular department either TS or Tax and complete challeneges in groups and individually as well as an assessment centre on my final day.
I have learnt how to communicate with a range of different people and feel confident when working and talking with others. I have learnt how to act professionally and how to calculate many financial calculations and complete documents such as a Tax Return.
I thoroughly enjoyed my programme and it completely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed meeting everyone and have made friends for life. I would love to come back to PwC as it has been a pleasure.
I felt included and highly valued in PwC and was surrounded by friendly faces willing to help me. PwC made me feel straight at home and ensured I felt at ease all through the week.
We had a structured timetable so I was aware of what I was supposed to be doing, where and when. There was never a dull moment and we had lots of challenges and tasks to give us a clear insight into PwC.
Anything I needed my buddy/training provider was there to assist me with regardless of how big or small. I couldn't have asked for better they were fantastic!
The PwC employer was very welcoming and ensured we felt comfortable in the business environment. Any problems we had were dealt with quickly and with the upmost patience.
The package was an added bonus as I got paid for doing something I thoroughly enjoyed and covered all costs including travel and food such as lunch.
There are many opportunities outside of work. Social opportunities to bond with colleagues and other opportunities to develop as a person and further your career and qualifications.
Yes
It has been an experience I will never forgot and has been a career decider for me which I am very grateful for, I will definitely consider joining PwC when I finish my course at university.
Sell yourself and mention everything you have done as a person. Be confident and dont be nervous, the people are lovely and want to help you and get the most out of you so that you are successful.
