Throughout the week long programme we had an exciting and jam packed schedule. Our first day included an induction in Birmingham where we had the chance to meet and network with everyone in the group across all offices. For the following four days we were at our base location. We shadowed our buddy who we got to know very well by the end of the week, take part in meetings and chat to employees across the office about their experiences.
I have developed my team work skills as well as my professional capabilities. I improved upon my network and presentation skills.
I loved the programme - It was a superb opportunity to see inside PwC, learn about the work that they do, network and get a head start when applying to their programmes.
PwC gave us very valuable and brand new laptops which we were allowed to take home with us. I also had the chance to chat to a director. We were very well looked after and were given access to pretty much everything.
The programme was very well organised. We had the chance to experience a range variety of things and develop a range of skills. Would of loved more time in the office though! Also, would of love to experience some work in assurance as well however this could not be offered.
We had an induction day where we were taught the basics. Not much training was needed as it was only a week long programme. I did feel very well supported though and felt as though I knew everything I needed to know.
We were allocated a buddy. We got to really get to know each other, he was always there if I needed a question, help or wanted to speak to someone.
Our expenses to Birmingham were covered however the cost to the base location had to be paid by us.
Due to the length of the programme I did not take part in any but when speaking to employees it was something that PwC offered - teams went for social events often as far as I'm aware.
