I worked at J.P. Morgan on the Aspiring Professionals Programme (APP). My daily tasks included learning all the different roles of the bank, completing a case study and attending sessions from different divisions of the bank. The first week I was at bank street and the second week I was at Knightsbridge.
I have developed my communication skills and how to present yourself in the correct manor. I have learnt to work in groups better and learnt the various different roles in the bank.
I enjoyed the programme very much as I got a better insight in to the career path I wanted to tack. The company had a great culture and it exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the programme very much.
I felt extremely welcomed by J.P. Morgan as my manager at Knightsbridge Stephanie was very friendly and was a great manager to the all the interns. We were treated with the up most respect throughout the whole programme.
The programme was well structured as all the days were full of sessions and meetings to attend. Everything in the programme was well thought out and organised.
I received a large amount of help from my training provider/ manager Stephanie. She assisted everyone and made sure everyone knew what they was doing. If we needed help on our projects she was always willing to help.
I had a lot of support across the bank in understanding the different roles at J.P. Morgan. I was constantly reminded to ask questions and not to be shy to ask them.
All travel costs and daily costs were paid for. The location of the bank had shops to eat lunch within walking distance.
There were many activities in the evening after work. These include; rock climbing, cinema, cruise of London and many more.
Yes
I would recommend J.P. Morgan to a friend as there is a great working culture at J.P. Morgan. All the staff that work here are helpful and friendly and make a nice friendly environment.
I would give advice to others applying by telling them that it is not required for them to have a specific maths based degree to get the job. Also in interviews to make sure you are polite to all the staff including the reception lady etc.
