The week began with an induction event at the Birmingham Office, where I was able to meet and interact with other Business Insight Week interns. Following this, I was based in the Assurance department, where I experienced various auditing tasks.
After the week, my skills in using Excel have improved, as well as my ability to communicate and relay messages to others. I have definitely learned more about audit over the course of the week aswell.
The programme was very enjoyable. It was great that we were partnered with a buddy who guided us and was there to answer any questions. Furthermore, I enjoyed the fact that we were able to experience a realistic insight into a job at PwC.
I felt valued to a great degree. Everybody was welcoming in the office and having a buddy particularly increased how valued I felt.
The programme was well structured and I was contacted by my buddy the week prior to the work experience. Timings could have been clarified slightly more

Everyday, we were given the opportunity to tune into a webchat where we were given information on applying to PwC and potential opportunities. As part of the webchats, we were able to ask any questions and recieve support. Therefore, there was a high level of support.
We were kindly paid for this work experience, and travel expenses to locations other than our base office were reimbursed. I would therefore rate this aspect highly.
As we were only there for a week, we were understandably not included in any social activities outisde of the office.
Yes
Not only is PwC a great name to put on any CV, but the experience is a great insight into the professional services.
As part of the application process, I had psychometric tests and an interview. It is definitely worth practicing these beforehand. Also, don't be overwhelmed with having to do these, they're not as daunting as you may imagine and getting a place is definitely worthit.
