My daily role is admin based, cooking meeting rooms, checking decks for presentations, working with the home care team for any HR related issues they may have, collating and checking data, attending meetings and taking minutes.
I have learned many skills, some computer based such as outlook and excel, I have also learned a lot relating to HR and Unilever, for example their processes and systems and how to use them to fulfil my role most effectively. On top of this, I have learned many personal skills such as confidence, teamwork and interpersonal skills
I enjoy my programme a lot, I feel challenged by the coursework and my role, which is enjoyable. I like the culture and ethos of Unilever, and I get on well with my team. It exceeded my expectations
I feel very valued by Unilever, my team value me, and they give me real, rewarding, challenging tasks to complete. There is lots of opportunities for recognition, and I have taken part in many projects and task which make me feel valued
My programme is very well structured, I spend 18 months in a department. My induction was well structured and very informative, I regularly meet with my assessor, training provider, line manager and employer. Task delegation is effective
I regularly meet with my assessor/training provider to discuss how I am getting on, how I am finding my coursework and my role. My training provider gives me lots of support and guidance
I receive lots of support form both my employer and my host employer. I meet with my Employer and my line manager regularly to discuss my progress, and there are opportunities for mentoring
The salary is generous, I receive well above minimum wage, plus London Weighting. It meets my needs in regards to travel, social and accommodation costs
There are many events and opportunities outside of work, especially volunteering opportunities. I recently took part in a day in which we travelled to local schools and delivered self esteem workshops, this was very rewarding. there is also many training opportunities and courses
