I have been doing a work experience of which has involved various activities such as workshops about street law, but the main thing is that I have been going around the various departments, shadowing trainees and completing activated to do with each department. I have also sat within each team therefore meeting lots of new people within a short space of time.
Yes, I have learnt various new skills and also developed a few as well. For example I have developed my communication skills as I have been working with a range of many different people from many different departments.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme as I believe I have learned lots of new things about the law programme that I didn't know before but I have also completed some great activities that have used as range of different skills including teamwork.
I feel valued as I believe they gave me relevant work and were very appreciative of the work that I carried out for them. One of the trainees personally praised me and gave me recognition of the work I completed.
The programme was very well structured as there were a mixture of events and all of which were relevant and very effectively completed. The team were great with how they showed us around each department and what goes on in the company.
The training provider was great as she keep up to date with us all through email and made sure she was easily reachable if we needed to contact her at any point especially before and during the placement.
I received lots of support from trainees and from the other people that came in and talked to us but also those within the departments were helpful and friendly if you were stuck with anything.
There was no salary involved as it was a work experience placement however the materials that we were supplied with were very high quality and very informative that was easy to understand.
Yeah, the trainees did a presentation of the types of things that the company have on outside which if I was here for longer placement I would of loved to get involved with.
