The apprenticeship is for a post production role, and daily tasks include ingesting footage for edits, export completed edits, deletions of the storage.
I have learnt many new skills whilst undergoing this apprenticeship, most of them are very specific to the TV industry which is very useful
My team mates are very likable and have made me feel very welcome in the workplace, the work involved is also something that I like a lot as it is the career I want to be in.
I feel very valued by Sky, I feel that I am treated more as a member of staff than a trainee. I feel I am given the chance to help out as much as everyone else is.
Being the first apprentices in Post Production, it is still taking some time to get used to everything, not only for me but for the employees here so the organizing is a little behind.
I am given support in a ll activities and I can ask if I ever need help with anything.
I receive lots of suport from everyone at Sky, they are always checking if there is anything I need.
Very well, It allows me to pay all my bills and still have enough to enjoy myself and go out and do stuff with friends.
Sky is very good to have on my CV so just by doing an apprenticeship here, it is opening so many new doors. I have been given the oportunity to go and work on set of some shoots outside of Sky as well.
Yes
Sky is only getting bigger and bigger, with new opportunities, it is a great place for anybody to work.
I would say that they don't need to worry about previous experience. They train you from the bottom up here so you don't already have to be a professional.
