I worked on a Business Insight Week at PwC, I worked with the Audit and Assurance department and worked on balance sheets financial statements and client statements. It was a great insight into the company and I got to work on real accounts and data
I learnt a lot about my employability and how to act in a workplace environment. They also ran a session on interviews and how best to present yourself via CV and Interviewing. I also got a great insight into the company and it helped me plan and understand the paths I may need to take in the future if I want a career with PwC. Also I got to learn about balance sheets and excel functionality in relation to auditing. A great new skills set learnt and the staff couldn't be more helpfull.
It was a great experience , I have had work experience elsewhere but this week was so well planned and so informative I was really impressed. I enjoyed the whole week and would definitely want to work somewhere like this in the future
The staff and organisers were great. We got to work on real life work and were guided in how to produce proffessional standard of work. I wasn't patronised or talked down to but encouraged and trained. I felt really confident that I was adding value to the work and learning a lot too.
Really well organised. We were provided a buddy prior to the week and given a clear structure. the travel to London and Birmingham for the first and last day were expensed and all agendas organised really well. on arrival there was an induction and outline of the week and expectations were clear. There was always someone to speak to for guidance etc
Not applicable here as it was work experience but the organisers were clear and the first and last day training sessions were well organised and offered training which was interactive and fun but also gave a lot of takeaway information to help with future jobs etc.

It was work experience and no salary
The week was great as a few of us all worked together in groups and it meant we got the chance to socialize as well and get to know one another. the office seemed really buzzing and social with people organizing nights out and there was a number of social and sports groups for full time employees
Yes
Seems to be a good company with opportunities for young people and programmes for apprentices and graduates etc
Research the company and make sure you know who the company are and what they do. Be enthusiastic and keen and show this in any interviews. Take full advantage of any training and opportunities and you'll get so much out of it.
