The activities I carry out day-to-day vary on a regular basis. Since starting with Capgemini, I have been given opportunities to own tasks which has lead to me being held responsible for numerous tasks. My main task, to which I am immensly proud, is rolling out LEAN within the account.
My existing skills have grown rapidly since joining Capgemini and I have had numerous opportunities to develop new skills through training and knowledge transfers. I know have a training plan in place to help my achieve the role I am working towards.
I really do enjoy being on the Higher Apprenticeship programme and am very excited to progress on to the Degree.
Considering I am only a Higher Apprentice, I didn't expect to have as much responsibility as I do and to be so involved in the account. One of Capgemini's strongest points is showing appreciation and recognition.
The programme is very organised, however there are points that have been put forward to help improve the programme. We do have regular meetings once a month with all fellow apprentices and our programme manager to talk about any issues we may have.
Our training provider is QA, we have a regular assessor that comes out to our office regulary to help with our assignments and training. Assessors are accessbile to speak to outside of when they visit via phone or email.
Capgemini are very supportive, my Manager, my Reviewed and even the head of my account are really helpful when it comes to assignments and work within the office.
Our salary is very genorous for an apprenticeship programme and if we ever have to leave the office for travel, expenses are always covered.
I can't speak for the whole of Capgemini as I have only worked on one account, but the one I am on is very involved with charity events and the local community so I have had a lot of opportunities to get involved with these events.
Yes
Capgemini is a very helpful, enjoyable company to work for and provide the very best education alongside a work / life balance.
Don't be scared to ask questions. Don't alienate yourself from others and get involved in as many opportunities as you can.
