i am a traniee pharmacy technician coming to the very end of my training. i give aid to the pharmacist and deal with all manner of pharmacy related dutys.
there are alot of things that i have learnt and developed by doing my tecnicians course. i am soon to be qualified and feel confident i can perform my new role due to my training
i have enjoyed learning more about my practice and wuld do another course again but i feel that it was very dragged out and long.
i have had ups and downs with escalla, in my 2 years of this training programme i have had three different assessors which has made things quite difficult.
the programme its self is well structed but as i have been on the course for a while the structure was changed part way through. i much prefered the new structure but felt annoyed as it was much better than the old structure and i feel i would have benefited from the new structure more as you learn the same but there is less work. in my programme i have had to do essays, assignmnets, presentations, professional discussions and narratives for each module i feel tis is alot of work when you are in full time owrk as well.
i have recieved a mixed amount of support from my assessors, the first sent me all the wrong work, the second was good but left very close to the of my course and the third has been lovely and very helpful.
i am very lucky where i work and i recieve all the support that i need.
my company actually payed for my course so i am unaware of how much it costs.
i have discovered there are plenty of other opportunities in my field outside of work.
No
i have had alot of trouble with assessors changing and structure of my course changing and i feel that alot of things could have been dealt with better. i also feel a papaer based course would suit people better.
make sure they are going to have access to a good computer with internet as the course is all online and dont be alarmed if assessors change.
