I am a confectionery apprentice and am learning all confectionery skills. I help out on new projects in the kitchen which may or may not make it out to the shops!
I have learnt so many skills that I wouldn't have been able to learn anywhere else! I am also being put through a foundation degree in food manufacture and have the option to continue onto a full degree once i've finished the former.
Nestle is such a good company to work for. Everyone is so friendly and will help you in anyway they can! You quickly become part of the team and are made to feel very welcome. I have loved every minute of my time here.
Very valued, hard work is well appreciated and recognised!
Seeing as I was the first confectionery apprentice they took on, things weren't as organised as they could have been. However everyone is learning as we go along and the support is amazing!
Whenever I have any queries or problems, anyone is happy to help out. Everyone is happy to be asked a question and will always do their best to answer it or if they can't will make sure they refer you to someone who can.
A lot! Any problems, in and outside, of work I can go and ask for help and I know I will always be given good advice.
Perfectly! My pay is quite a lot for an apprenticeship and I can comfortably afford my rent, food and a few treats!
Lots of opportunities to get involved with, you just have to look out for them!
Yes
A really lovely, friendly and genuine company to work for. They value their employees and do the best they can for everyone!
The interview process is very different to any other I have been to. Instead of asking you for previous experiences in a certain situations they ask how you would respond in different situations. Come prepared with examples of where you've shown intuition but overall be happy, and friendly!
