My role involves completing daily store tasks such as putting out stock, running a till and providing a good experience for the customer. I am also involved in managerial processes such as till checks, audits and using various different systems.
I have learnt many new skills as this is a new area for me, which is very rewarding. It has also helped to develop existing skills such as confidence and being able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
I am thoroughly enjoying this programme as I learn new things each and every day. It is hard work but very rewarding and I look forward to coming into work to do my job.
I always feel like an important member of the team and valued by the company itself. It provides an opportunity to develop skills and your hard work does not go unrecognised.
The programme is structured well with an outside agency frequently setting clear tasks to complete. I always know about the topic I am currently focusing on and what topics I will be looking at next.
I receive a great level of support from my training provider and they are always there and willing to help if I have any questions or queries. They always give me credit and praise where it is due.
I also receive a great level of support from my employer. There is always someone to speak to if there are any problems and I am always encouraged to push myself to become better at the job and progress in the company.
The salary is great and unrivalled by any other apprenticeship schemes I have come across. It certainly matches the level of work put in and makes doing the apprenticeship worthwhile. It meets my costs very well and I have quite a bit of money as a result.
There are not that many opportunities outside of work as the job works solely around the apprenticeship. However, there are many courses available after the apprenticeship such as first aid etc.
Yes
It is a great opportunity to get into a retail management and is a very rewarding course with great pay. The company makes you feel welcome and you are always encouraged to push yourself and develop new skills all the time.
Go for it! It is a challenging course and environment but extremely rewarding and helps develop a wide range of skills and you are always learning something new. If you like meeting new people, like being challenged and are hard working then this is a great course.
