Oracle SOA Consultant. I'm an integration developer in the middleware tier. I mostly communicate internally with my team in order to define and meet development targets but sometimes interact with clients during testing phases.
I have been on a number of specialisation courses and will be taking specialisation exams later this year.
It's a good programme. However, it feels like it needs streamlining and a bit more planning and consistency across our delivery units.
In my initial project team, I feel valued as they have first hand experience of my capabilities. I feel I'm branded as "just a HA" by the majority of the company though.
Fairly well organised. As I said earlier, it could do with some refinement.
I get enough support. I don't get to meet with them often because I'm nearly always on a client's site. But when I do, they are really supportive.
To me, I get the feeling that we've hired too much junior talent and therefore don't get much time or attention from the company.
It doesn't.
I don't get much time to myself outside of work.
Yes
Although the program has a few faults, the people who I've worked on projects with are amazing.
Be friendly and helpful and the rest will fall into place.
