My role is a process specialist. In my apprentiship I move around the factory in different departments so I get a good general knowlage of the factory and work in these departments to develop my skills so when i come out my apprentiship I will have a better chance of getting a job because i am experianced everywhere in my factory. Also it gives me a good insight to help me understand what interests me and what job suits me and how I can benifit the factory.
yes I have a qualification in dairy specialism so as I work in a milk factory this is good for me to understand the legal sides of things. I have also gained lots of coaching skills and how to work best with different people.
Honestly I love it. Suits me perfectly. I am young and always on the go in different factorys improving my skills and knowlage and I actually feel like I am a benifit to the buisness.
I dont feel valued at all by Nestle. The success and happiness from my apprentiship hasnt come from support from the wider nestle team. its came from myself because there was were limited support and I feel like Nestle just lets me get along with it and doesnt help me or guide me in the right direction. After the first 2 weeks or my appretniship there was no support.
very poor. it is a weird apprentiship so people are not too sure what I will be doing at the end but there doesnt seem to be any structure at all. It seems like I have to create my own structure and decide what happens otherwise no one else will help me.
I recieve limited support from my training provider. I only recieve the support when I go ask for it, and yes I like to do things myself but when there is no support all togther its hard.
I dont recieve much support at all. The only support I get is off my line manager. if it wasnt for him there would be no support what so ever.
very well. Thats one thing i cannot knock nestle for. The pay. It is above average pay for somebody my age and i respect nestle for that.
yes lots of opportunities for me to do other things in the community which I have taken part in before. my shift goes on nights out a bit so its good to socialise with them.
Yes
Because there is so much opportunity for people to travel with nestle and its like an experiance because there is basically a nestle factory everywhere! it is perfect for somebody who doesnt really know what they want to do.
Tips so, think of what drives the people who work for nestle. Bonus! If you can help achieve bonus' and targets then you are on to a winner. such as safety, safety is nestles most important thing so base your ansers around safety if you can, prove that you respect yours and others safety in and out the workplace. Dont think about the job for good money. Understand that is more than a job nbecause of the benifits and opportunities that come with it.
