Job title is Mechanical and Electrical Technician. The role and day to day tasks involve a lot of shadowing and observing the senior members, but also has opportunities for hands on experiences and taking reasonability for tasks.
A wide range of training is available to who ever wants it. I have taken part in multiple health and safety training and also had the opportunity to be given Digital engineering training.
The company aims to be the best so work and workers are dedicated and willing to teach. The team is very friendly and very supportive of each other.
Internal progression through the company is very open and you're good enough then you will be given the recognition. Management is very appreciative and treats employees regularly.
Training days are set out at the start of the year so everyone can planned them accordingly. The education side of things is well managed and the support is there when ever you need it.
Management is always open to talk to the employees about any problems they might be having. Also they will always provide support if you feel you are not in the right position.
HR deal with any problem you might be having very quickly and efficiently. Mentors and management are very supportive in giving you advise and help.
Travel costs are completely covered by the company, as well as the education costs. So when you put all those together with the base salary, then it is really good for the position that I am in right now.
Local community involvement is high. Although I do feel that the company could do more to promote company sports teams and team building days on projects.
Yes
Great employer for support and personal growth. The paid education alongside work experience is a much better option than stand alone education which could end up costing around £54,000 to the individual.
If you are a motivated individual who wants to work hard, then all you have to do is be yourself. If you try and lie you could end up in a position/job in which you don't enjoy.
