my role is a business administration apprentice. this involves rotating round the administration departments in my building to gain a wide knowledge of the entire company throughout my apprenticeship.
I have learnt a variety of skills and also developed existing skills throughout my apprenticeship. this includes things like my skills using software packages such as Microsoft and learning specialized software packages used by the company.
I enjoy my program as it allowed me to experience a wide variety of departments and I get to learn how each one works to help the overall goal. it will also help me choose my career path down the line.
I feel valued by Siemens as they show they care about their staff and are always looking at ways to improve the work life and work processes to benefit the employees.
My programme is well structured and organized as all my rotations are selected based on where I would be best suited and where I can gain the most experience.
I receive lots of support from my training provider as they are always there to help with any work related/college related issues I may have and can help me fix them.
I receive lots of support from my employer as they are always available to help if I need them and are always looking for where I can gain the best knowledge and experience.
My salary package meets my costs well as I am an apprentice I don't have large costs etc. The apprentice wage also goes up each year to match.
There are many opportunities outside of work to get involved and help out. careers fair etc are always available for people who would like to help out and gain interest for new apprentices.
Yes
I would recommend Siemens to a friend as it is a good opportunity to gain new skills and work for a company that helps you progress those skills and also learn new ones.
Advice I would give to others applying would be to be honest, confident and friendly. Also being willing to learn and try new things helps.
