1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My daily tasks consist of taking care of different requests that come through on a daily basis. In the mornings i am responsible for picking up the builds that have been running and i then complete the build.On a daily basis i help to take care of the Dev ops request tool. I also take part in Reconciliation.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I know have a level 3 in Maths, English and IT. I have experience in Unix. I am developing my java skills. My college course has tough me web development skills . My communication have improved greatly. My confidence has grew dramatically.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

This is the best program i have been on i enjoy every aspect of my role. Accenture is a brilliant company and the staff are really friendly and happy to help with any query or question you may have. The staff within my team are more like family we all get on really well which makes coming to work a happy and enjoyable experience.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Yes the program is well organised staff new what they were doing and they were never late to meetings or training. All of the tools and equipment such as laptops was available for us on the first day. You can tell that there has been a lot of planning and organisation taking place to ensure the program ran as smoothly as possible.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

I receive a lot of support from the training provide, if i feel as though i am struggling i know i can contact them and we will work together to be able to find a way to work around the issue i am facing.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager is very supportive and encouraging. We have regular catch up's to talk about any issues i may have within my work and if there are any issues we work together to try and resolve them.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

My salary enables me to be able to afford traveling to work along with living costs.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Yes there is a lot of voluntary opportunities taking place outside of work. Accenture also holds company events outside of work. There is local events that take place in and around the area

Accenture gives young disadvantaged people a unique opportunity to develop a brilliant career and skills.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?

I would advise other people to make sure they look at certain areas of IT especially if they are coming from a none IT background.
