  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I currently work in Service Management. In my role, the main areas that I am involved in are to raise New Tasks, Problems and Release Instances on the Department of Working Pensions account. This involves using software called DWNG and RTC. I am in regular contact with numerous clients that are connected with Accenture as I help to raise and support their needs.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • In this role, I have been able to improve my communication skills due to the amount of clients that I am in contact with, whether it is over the phone or by email. I have also gained experience of the work that goes on, on the DWP account. I was able to learn in a relative short space of time, what needs to be done and the correct process on how to do it. Additionally, by shadowing my colleagues, I am constantly improving my knowledge in new areas such as NPS Incidents and RPA Incidents. Due to the amount of work involved in Service Management, I am always building my knowledge on new areas and projects.

  • I feel very valued within Accenture due to the amount of feedback that I get when work is completed to a good standard. Due to me having regular one to one sessions with my Line Managers as well, it gives me an insight into how they think of my work, and since I am always getting positive feedback, it has shown that I am a valued member.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship is well structured and organised as it has a set plan for the apprentices that come in. I was able to complete college assignments in my first year and also manage a job role. By passing the college assignments, I was able to move onto the University work where I gained more experience and shown I can manage work and university assignments together as I have passed all assignments so far.
