My role included attending daily team meetings, taking notes and completing tasks. Mainly, testing and monitoring the team's tasks.
I developed my communication skills as often I had to contact new people, as well as my technical skills as I had to self teach myself the basics of other coding languages.
I do enjoy my programme. I like how there is the chance to learn something new everyday whether it is work related (to do with learning new computer skills) or finding out about other workers' backgrounds and cultures.
Yes I feel as if the apprentice line managers are very supporting and understanding. We are always kept informed about opportunities to do with work such as any training that will help us to improve our skills, as well as networking events to improve our social and communication skills.
Dates are allocated for training days in advance, so that we can inform our project managers of when we will not be available. This shows good organisation as we can also choose to study the topic beforehand.
We are able to email our training provider/assessor for any queries that we may have and they reply as soon as possible; which is extremely useful.
All the managers that I have encountered have been very supporting in helping me to understand work-life at Accenture and the client companies they work with.
he salary does meet my costs monthly as I have enough to pay for travel, food etc. Also we are allowed access to employee benefits which gives further discounts.
Yes there are charity days which allow us to contribute back to the community as well. Also we can network with other employees at the networking events the company offers
Yes
I believe that it is a good opportunity to get work experience, meet people from all walks of life as well as learning valuable skills.
Make sure that you come across as friendly, approachable and enthusiastic a well as dedicated and hard-working. Also be prepared to step outside of your comfort zone but learn a lot along the way.
