As an apprentice in ISFA at Fidelity we have a very varied range of daily tasks. I am in Corporate Actions dealing with the processing of dividends, cash instruments and company proposals and changes. As my time here goes on I am learning more and more, and becoming more independent and now produce my own reports.
I have sat and passed the first Investment Operations Certificate exam. Still have 2 more to go - have become far far better when using a computer (Microsoft systems) and my typing has improved greatly. I am booked on an Excel course, date TBA
I enjoy my programme very much, great people and great office working atmosphere.
Very. there are large support networks in place and almost anything you want can be arranged for you.
Really well - mixture of college and ISFA work is balanced well, given enough time to get work done but not too much so that you are bored and the learning programmes really do help you which is rare to see
One visit a month and an online portal system to upload/see marked work.
a lot, whenever you need any form of support it is there, someone is always willing to sit with you and show you something new
An apprentice wage is always going to be slightly lower than average salaries but Fidelity pays very well and majority of my costs are covered plus they have great expenses
yes there are all sorts of different things going on. Boot camps, football teams etc
Yes
Great company, excellent reputation and a great place to learn your trade in the industry.
Learn why Fidelity is different, know the company, know what its private status means for workers and customers.
