My job title is Business Apprentice. Throughout my apprenticeship I got to various different placements in the company. Right now, I'm in Divisional Marketing - Support & Governance. In this placement I help with providing reports and providing marketing analysis. I regularly communicate with colleagues in Italy and at our other UK sites.
I've learnt a lot about using software such as Excel. My experiences in my apprenticeship have also enhanced my communication skills, time keeping skills and how to manage my workload.
I enjoy it a lot. In my current placement, especially. It's a great place to work, with the people around me making it more enjoyable. I've no complaints at all regarding the apprenticeship, it's exceeded my expectations.
I feel very valued. As a company they've always thought highly of apprentices and take great pride in the apprenticeship programme, and rightly so.
The programme is well structured and organised. Especially with the fact there's a large number of apprentices on site, with the numbers looking to increase in the next few years. Management do a fantastic job of keeping things running smoothly.
I receive a great amount of support from my training provider. It's made so easy due to the support I get. My training provider is always reasonable, understanding and happy to help.
As apprentices we receive a lot of support. Management do very well to support such a large number of us. They're always happy to help. Work is made easier by the effort put in from the management team.
My salary meets my living costs well. I've no complaints about the salary I receive as it's probably one of the best salaries at this level. All my costs are met with the salary I receive.
There are opportunities to work of site and do stuff externally. Whether it be, working at one of our other UK sites, going out to schools to promote the apprenticeship amongst other things.
Yes
Because it's a great environment to work, with many benefits as an apprentice. It's a great place to be to start and progress your career. I strongly believe that there's not a better place to be as an apprentice.
Nothing really, other than do it. The application process was long, but it wasn't unreasonable. The assessment day was relaxed, which was surprising, but again it's definitely not a bad thing. It actually helped me show what I can do better because I wasn't nervous during the interview or the assessments.
