Technical Solutions Specialist. Currently working as a an Application Support Consultant on a TRIRIGA Implementation Project, sitting within the client's Level 2 Support Team.
I have learnt how to develop and configure TRIRIGA on an enterprise wide scale. I have also learnt how to develop in BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tools).
I enjoy working within a team attempting to resolve re-world issues, which may not have been possible had I taken a different education route for Information Technology.
I feel I am a valued member of the IBM team as I consistently receive positive feedback from both members of management and the colleagues I work with.
I believe that the structure of the Apprenticeship scheme is a credit to the innovation of IBM, as they have provided a great platform for me to learn and grow within my IT career.
I believe I am provided with adequate support from my training provider as I am regularly emailed by members of the training team regarding lunch and learn training courses.
I receive a lot of support from both mentors and colleagues within the business. They also provide me with guidance on how to reach my long term goals.
The salary covers my living costs and I am also subsidized for any travel expenses that I incur. This is a unique feature of an apprenticeship as I am unaware of others which provide this.
IBM has leisure clubs at all of its major base locations and joining costs a nominal fee. However the benefits of doing so are more than worth the joining fee.
Yes
I feel that IBM is a great gateway into the IT business and teaches skills that I would have been unable to gain if I was sat in a lecture at University or a classroom.
Others that apply for IBM should make sure that they look into the history of IBM so that they can understand the innovation that drives the company to succeed year on year!
